Qualification
- Assistant Station Attendant / Assistant Lineman / Crane Operator / Line Superintendent:
A Matric degree in Science with a minimum of 60% marks is required from any board-recognized institute.
- Attendant:
DAE (Electronics or Mechanics or Electrical) is essential for this position.
- Junior Technician (Mechanical)
Candidates must possess a Two Year vocational certificate in mechanical or electrical technology from a reputable and recognized institute to be eligible.
- Junior Clerk Computer Typist
Candidates must need a post-matriculate degree along with a 2 Year vocational trade certification as a machinist from a recognized board.
- High Pressure Welder / Foreman (Mechanical) / Assistant Foremen
Candidates must have a Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical with a specialization in Metallurgy and Welding.
- Assistant Private Secretary / Stenographer (Gr-II)
A second-class Bachelor’s degree (B.A or B.Sc) from a university recognized by the HEC is required.
- Turner / Winder
Candidates must possess a post-matriculate degree along with a 2 Year vocational trade certification as a machinist from a recognized board.
- Cook
A minimum qualification of a Middle degree is required.

Experience
- Junior Technician (Mechanical) / Foreman (Mechanical) / Assistant Foreman (Electrical) / Cook:
Applicants should have at least Three Years of relevant experience in the field.
- Junior Clerk Computer Typist:
A minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute on a PC is required
- Crane Operator:
A six-month course in heavy machine operation is mandatory for the position.
- High Pressure Welder:
Candidates must have at least 5 Years of experience in the relevant field.
- Assistant Private Secretary:
- Typing Skills: Candidates must demonstrate a typing speed of 80 words per minute (WPM) in shorthand and 50 WPM in typing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet applications is required, supported by relevant certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with degrees in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics, Computer Science, or Political Science.
- Stenographer (Gr-II):
- Proficiency in MS Office: Candidates must demonstrate strong skills in MS Office applications.
- Typing Speed: A typing speed of at least 40 words per minute is required.
- Certification: A certificate in MS Office and internet usage is mandatory.
- Computer Skills: Candidates should be proficient in general computer usage and operations.
- Turner:
Candidates should have at least One Year of relevant experience.
- Winder:
Candidates must have at least Three Year of relevant experience.
Important Instructions
Written Test and Interview
- The written test will be conducted by M/s OTS.
- The interview will be conducted by WAPDA.
Age Relaxation
- A general age relaxation of 25 years is included in the age limit.
- Additional 3 years of age relaxation for candidates from Scheduled Castes, Buddhist Community, Recognized Tribes of Tribal Areas, Gilgit Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir.
- 3 years of age relaxation for candidates from Sindh (Rural) and Balochistan for posts of BPS-15 and below.
- 10 years of age relaxation for disabled persons applying against the disabled quota.
- Government/WAPDA employees with 2 years of continuous service can avail of an age relaxation of up to 10 years.
- Age will be calculated as of the last date of receipt of applications.
Application Process for Current Employees
- Candidates already serving in WAPDA should apply through the WAPDA HR Division and submit the requisite NOC/permission.
- Only children of WAPDA employees can apply against the WAPDA Employees Children Quota.
- Children of employees from DISCOs, GENCOs, NTDC, etc., are not eligible for this quota.
- Candidates applying under the WAPDA Employees Children Quota (ECO) must submit: a. An affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper from the WAPDA employee and a certificate from the concerned WAPDA office stating no son/daughter has previously been employed under WAPDA ECO. b. Documentary proof of the parent’s employment in WAPDA.
Government Employees
- Government employees may apply through the proper channel and submit the requisite NOC/permission.
Document Verification
- Educational certificates/degrees must be verified by the relevant universities, boards, or institutes.
- Original documents must be presented at the time of the interview.
Probation and Termination
- Initial appointments will be on probation for one year and regularization is subject to satisfactory performance.
- Services can be terminated without notice if work and conduct are unsatisfactory during the probation period.
- Candidates dismissed or barred from future employment on disciplinary grounds are not eligible to apply.
General Guidelines
- WAPDA reserves the right to withhold or cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
- No TA/DA will be provided for test/interview attendance.
